The Journal of Creative Practices in Language Learning and Teaching (CPLT) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication quality and ethical practice. Authors are expected to ensure that manuscripts are ready for submission and that all authors have agreed to the submission before the manuscript enters the editorial process.
Before submitting to CPLT, authors should confirm authorship, secure the approval of all co-authors, verify the accuracy of the data and content, and ensure that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere. Research students and early-career researchers are advised to obtain the necessary approval from supervisors or relevant parties before submission. Authors should also ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal’s publication ethics requirements.
Requests to withdraw a manuscript should only be made for valid and unavoidable reasons. Withdrawal is not acceptable simply because the manuscript has been accepted, or is likely to be accepted, by another journal. Requests made at an advanced stage of review or production may result in unnecessary loss of time and effort for editors, reviewers, and editorial staff and are therefore strongly discouraged unless justified by serious circumstances.
To request withdrawal, the corresponding author must contact the editorial office and provide a formal written explanation. Where necessary, the journal may require confirmation of agreement from all co-authors before processing the request. A manuscript will only be considered withdrawn after the author has received official confirmation from the editorial office.
If exceptional delays occur and the review process extends beyond a reasonable period, authors may contact the journal to request withdrawal. CPLT reserves the right to assess each withdrawal request on a case-by-case basis in line with publication ethics and editorial policy.
