The Journal of Creative Practices in Language Learning and Teaching (CPLT) adopts a structured and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic rigor of all manuscripts considered for publication.
CPLT uses a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process. This is intended to support fairness, objectivity, and impartial evaluation.
Review and Publication Workflow
- Submission and Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first received and checked by the editorial team. At this stage, the manuscript is assessed for its relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with submission requirements, and basic scholarly quality. - Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with appropriate expertise in the relevant field. - Double-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on the basis of criteria such as originality, academic contribution, methodological or analytical strength, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s focus. The review process normally takes about four weeks. - Revision by Authors
Where revisions are required, the manuscript is returned to the author together with reviewers’ comments and recommendations. Authors are usually given two weeks to submit a revised version. - Language and Technical Review
Revised manuscripts may undergo further checking for language quality, clarity, coherence, grammar, and overall presentation. Additional amendments may be requested where necessary. - Final Editorial Review
The editorial team then conducts a final review to ensure consistency in formatting, referencing style, and compliance with the journal’s publication requirements. - Final Decision and Publication
The final decision on publication is made by the Chief Editor after all review and revision stages have been completed. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and production before being published online as the final version of record in CPLT.
