The Journal of Creative Practices in Language Learning and Teaching (CPLT) has a strict policy against plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, image manipulation, and other forms of unethical research conduct.

All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or equivalent similarity detection software before peer review. Similarity reports are assessed by the editorial team for accuracy and fairness.

As a general guideline, CPLT applies the following thresholds:

    • Overall similarity index: up to 20%
    • Single-source similarity: up to 5%

References, properly quoted material, and standard methodological expressions may be excluded where appropriate. Manuscripts that exceed these limits may be returned for revision or rejected, depending on the seriousness of the overlap.

Where minor problems are identified, authors may be asked to revise and correct the manuscript. In cases of serious misconduct, the manuscript will be rejected. If ethical breaches are discovered after publication, the journal may issue a correction, retraction, or expression of concern.

Authors may be required to provide raw data, original images, or supporting materials for verification. Confirmed cases of serious misconduct may also be reported to the author’s institution or relevant bodies.

CPLT follows recognised ethical publishing standards, including COPE guidelines, and is committed to maintaining integrity, transparency, and originality in scholarly publication.
